The W.F. Mai Reference Library

There are currently a number of significant nematology holdings in the Dept. of Plant Pathology, acquired over the years by Dr. Mai. These include a collection of nematological reprints, a huge collection of photographic slides, an even bigger collection of prints and a large collection of preserved nematodes on microscope slides.

The W.F. Mai Nematology Reference Library is a collection of over 6000 reprints spanning 1898 through 1985, assembled throughout the career of Dr. Mai. These reprints cover a wide range of nematological topics and many of the reprints have been passed down from such luminaries as Cobb and Thorne.

Unfortunately, it is not feasible for the Cornell Department of Plant Pathology to provide public access to the reprints nor to handle requests for reproductions. A bibliographic database in Endnote Plus format is available for downloading. We hope it may give insight into some of the earliest literature available in nematology:
