Stemonitis sp. - tree hair
This slime mold makes fruiting bodies that look like tufts of hair sprouting from rotten logs.
I think Stemonitis should be the mascot for the Luxuriant Flowing Hair Club for Scientists.
I did not make that up, the Club is real.
