Here we have a daddy-long-legs with some serious-looking pincers (chelicerae), and apparently, a small fez.
OK not a fez, really, but a small tower for his eyes. These aren't spiders, but belong to their own order,
the Opiliones. Tom Eisner told me that if you pinch one and then smell it (!), it will emit the sharp scents
of alcohol or ketones to scare you away. I know a fungus that specializes in killing daddy-long-legs and
nothing else, but it seems cruel to mention it here.
