Odontolabis wollastoni Parry is a member of the family Lucanidae, known as the stag beetles. The males of this Southeast Asian species have large mandibles. In the majority, these are exaggerated structures, often combined with a massive cranium. Stag beetles use the mandibles as weapons in fighting one another.
